Faculty
Faculty in Computational Precision Health come from both campuses and multiple disciplines.
Computational Precision Health is unique in the University of California system in having a joint Augmented Graduate Group that functions as a bi-campus department. AGG members either hold a primary appointment in CPH or are from other UC Berkeley and UCSF home departments and clinical sites, reflecting a diversity of computational disciplines, methodological expertise, patient populations, and care settings.
Faculty expertise areas include big data analytics, algorithms, machine learning, clinical decision support, causal inference, electronic health records, health informatics, clinical research informatics, interoperability, digital health, networking, wearable devices, privacy, and related areas, applied to primary care, hospital medicine, public health, and a wide variety of subspecialty areas such as cardiology, neurology, cancer, and metabolic health.
Core faculty are available to advise PhD dissertations. Affiliate faculty contribute methodological and clinical expertise, collaboration opportunities, and advising.
